Honey and essential oils have been traditional health mediums for thousands of years in many cultures in the world including Greek, Egyptian, Roman, Chinese and Korean. More recently the New Zealand Maori developed Manuka oil and honey applications for healing and health purposes.

New Zealand Manuka honey and essential oil have been the subject of extensive scientific studies over many years which have proven their antimicrobial properties able to provide soothing relief from a wide range of common skin conditions include ringworm, eczema, dermatitis, athletes foot, candida albicans, nail fungus.

Manuka UMF honey with high levels of the compound methylglyoxal was proven to control a range of bacteria, even bacteria which had become resistant to conventional antibiotics such as MRSA.

These studies have led to widespread acceptance among the once sceptical medical community with the recent approval of the FDA in many countries.

Applications for Manuka UMF honey continue to grow with the increasing concerns about antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria. The recent launch of FDA Approved Manuka honey impregnated bandages into USA for healing burns and leg ulcers is just one example.
